Your Mistress Can Have You Chapter 01

Serena's POV

When Bradley Wright pressured me to divorce him for a celebrity yet again, I agreed.
He froze mid-motion, a cigarette between his fingers, a half-smile lingering on his lips. "Why are you being so cooperative this time? Did you finally realize throwing a tantrum is useless, so now you're trying a new tactic?"
I took off my wedding ring and replied calmly, "No, I just don't want to stay tangled in this love triangle anymore."
After a long silence, he stubbed out his cigarette and said leisurely, "Actually, it's not that urgent. It's just that Olly's career has been taking off lately, and it's really annoying that you keep harassing her."
I didn't respond. I simply picked up the pen and carefully signed my name on the divorce agreement before speaking, "Don't worry. It won't happen again."
He paused slightly, then straightened, a faint edge of irritation creeping into his voice. "Fine. It had better be that way. Otherwise... you know the consequences."
My body trembled instinctively.
The last time he forced me toward divorce, I had completely broken down. In a fit of rage, I exposed the explicit photos Olivia Bennett had sent me to provoke me. In return, he sued me for defamation. Her fans then dug up my personal information and forced me to issue a public apology.
I still remembered that day in court. When the verdict was announced in his favor, Bradley had worn the exact same expression—calm, detached—as he watched me unravel. Then he raised an eyebrow and said lightly, "Honey, are you satisfied with this result?"
It was strange. Back then, I had been in unbearable pain, suffocating under the weight of it all. But now, when I thought about it, I felt nothing. Only irony.
Dragging my suitcase behind me, I stepped out the door. Looking down at the plane ticket in my hand, it hit me belatedly—I had finally let go of the relationship that had once reduced me to such misery.
On a massive screen in the mall, Olivia was advertising a luxury lipstick brand, her smile radiant and confident. The image overlapped with the girl in my memory—the one who had gone out of her way to provoke me, flaunting Bradley's affection like a trophy.
There was one thing Bradley had been right about. Olivia's career was indeed soaring recently.
Those explicit photos hadn't harmed her in the slightest. If anything, they had earned her praise—fans calling her bold, honest, unapologetically real for her open and straightforward attitude.
And yet, it was that very provocation that first exposed Bradley's betrayal to me.
Back then, I had turned the entire Wright family upside down, making sure everyone knew exactly what he had done.
During that time, every wealthy wife I knew tried to persuade me—telling me to forgive, to compromise, to endure.
But I had been blinded by hatred. I hated Bradley for betraying me. I hated him for turning me into a hysterical, broken woman while he lived freely with his lover.
I was unwilling to accept it, and I was unwilling to cave.
Then came the photos—reporters capturing the two of them checking into a hotel together. The scandal exploded overnight. To protect Olivia's future and reputation, Bradley made their relationship public without hesitation.
Back then, the headlines were all about the love story between a rich heir and a celebrity. I was so upset that I lost it and stormed into his company, screaming at him in front of everyone.
He suppressed his anger and told Olivia to leave first, but that only pushed me further over the edge. I grabbed an ashtray and smashed it against his head, watching as blood streamed down his face while I cursed him as nothing but gutter trash.
When he finally snapped, he blurted out with a cold face, "Yes! I am trash. I did cheat. If you can't stand it, then divorce me!"
As soon as the words fell, both he and I froze.
But in the end, I was the first to speak—and I sounded even more unhinged than before, more like a madwoman than ever.
"Why should I divorce you?! Why should I make things easy for you and that bitch?! Bradley, you and she deserve to carry the names of adulterer and mistress for the rest of your lives!!!"
