He Faked Amnesia To Betray Me Chapter 01

After Julian Vance regained his memory, he finally remembered Charlotte Hayes, the Sterling woman head of the Vance Group woman who had shared his joys and sorrows through seven years of marriage.
To beg her to remarry him, he knelt outside Charlotte's door day and night, abandoning all the pride of the, and transferred every asset under his name to her in a single agreement.
Just because of one word from Charlotte, he even knelt and kowtowed his way up the 999 steps of St. Jude's Cathedral, all just to pray for an amulet for her.
Finally, Charlotte was moved by him and chose to remarry him. And after their remarriage, Julian seemed like a completely different person.
He no longer lingered in various debauched clubs. If he was coming home after ten at night, he always let her know in advance. He would remember to bring an umbrella to Charlotte's office when it rained, and on every wedding anniversary, he would give her a gift perfectly tailored to her tastes.
Even in bed, he was no longer as selfish as before. He would light aphrodisiac candles beforehand, engage in plenty of foreplay, and patiently ask if she was uncomfortable anywhere.
After a night of intimacy, Charlotte hugged Julian's waist tightly under the dim yellow light and asked casually, "Julian, how did you get so good at this?"
"Confess, who did you learn this from?"
Julian's eyes were tightly shut, his chest rising and falling. In a daze, he answered subconsciously, "Olivia Sterling."
......
Boom—!
A deafening roar exploded like thunder in Charlotte's ears.
Her body stiffened. She slowly pulled away from Julian's embrace, her mind buzzing.
Charlotte thought she would never hear that name again.
But Julian had brought her up anyway.
Brought up the woman for whom he had once done everything in his power to divorce Charlotte.
A year ago, Julian was in an unexpected car accident.
When he woke up, he looked blankly at Charlotte and asked only one question: "Who are you?"
He forgot that to court her, he had unfailingly sent her a bouquet of flowers every single day for 999 days.
He also forgot the vows and promises he had made to her at their wedding.
His memory had suddenly reverted to when he was eighteen.
Back then, he was still in love with Olivia, his first love.
As if someone had hexed him, Julian rushed out of the hospital the next day, brought Olivia back to Kingston on the third day, and asked Charlotte for a divorce on the fourth.
Charlotte was unwilling.
Julian signed countless divorce agreements, only for Charlotte to tear them all up.
Because she always clung to a faint sliver of hope, wanting to awaken Julian's memories.
Until she witnessed with her own eyes Julian and Olivia sleeping together in her own master bedroom.
At that moment, Charlotte's heart completely died.
She signed the divorce papers without hesitation.
She packed her bags, left the Vances, and started her new life.
Who knew that a year later, Julian would actually regain his memory and beg her to get back together.
She comforted herself that all the absurdity with Olivia was just his behavior after losing his memory, and it didn't count.
Until now, hearing Olivia's name straight from Julian's mouth, Charlotte still couldn't hide the sorrow in her heart.
That suffocating pain overflowed, making it impossible for her to stay there any longer.
After a dead silence, Charlotte casually threw on a coat and got up.
Julian grabbed her hand, looking a bit lost: "Charlotte, I didn't mean to."
"You know that back then, I had lost my memories of you. I truly thought she was still the one I loved deeply."
"Once I remembered you, didn't I come back to find you right away?"
"You are the most important person in my life."
Charlotte froze in place. After a long silence, she let out a soft sigh: "I know. I just want some time alone to be quiet.
I'll sleep in the guest room tonight."
It had been a while since she slept alone. Charlotte tossed and turned in the guest bed, unable to fall asleep.
Her mind was racing with countless thoughts, but ultimately, she felt she should give herself and Julian a chance.
After all, the absurdity of that past year was never what he had wanted...
Hugging her pillow, Charlotte walked toward the master bedroom.
The door wasn't closed tight.
A sliver of dim yellow light spilled out.
Julian's irritable voice rang out abruptly.
"Didn't I tell you not to bother me with her matters anymore?"
"Yes, I was indeed faking my amnesia back then.
After all, Olivia dumped me years ago. When has Julian ever swallowed that kind of insult?
Hearing she was back in the country, of course I had to win her over first, then dump her ruthlessly. Only that would satisfy my hatred."
Charlotte's steps halted abruptly, almost doubting her own ears.
She stared blankly at the man, wondering what he meant.
Faking amnesia?
A year ago, Julian didn't have amnesia at all?
Did he divorce her just so he could pursue Olivia without any distractions?
