No Longer Bound To You My Brother Chapter 01

Jayceon Pruitt thought I was his foster sister.
He loved me—Until he found his real one.
She died. And I became the target of his hatred.
“You lied and took her place!”
“I’ll make your life a living hell.”
He threw me into water tanks…
Let strangers violate me…
And watched it all with cold indifference.
Even the child I carried for ten months was taken from my womb.
In the end, I chose death.
When I opened my eyes again— I had been reborn.
This time, when Jayceon pulled me into his arms,
I told him the truth, “I’m not your sister.”
I even saved his real foster sister in this life.
I thought that would finally set me free.
But before I could leave—
He caught my wrist.
“Please, don't leave me.”

I came to, barely hanging on after being beaten senseless by a manic sex buyer. At that moment, Jayceon rushed over and pulled me into his arms.
"Ella... is it you?"
The hand that brushed my brow was warm and soft, but a chill ran down my spine.
I scrambled back in panic, frantically clawing at my own forehead with my nails.
"No! You've got the wrong person!"
In my past life, when he asked the same question, I had been so desperate to escape that I hadn't denied it.
So, I was taken home as his long-lost sister.
After the truth was revealed, I found I couldn't bring myself to look back on everything I had suffered.
I didn't want to go through that again, so I denied it desperately.
Blood mixed with tears streamed down my cheeks, my fingernails caked with grime.
Yet, he cupped my face and gathered me carefully into his arms.
"Don't be afraid, Ella. I'll get you out of here soon. It doesn't matter if you don't remember. I'll get you the best doctors."
My body went rigid instantly, trembling uncontrollably.
My mind went blank, a ringing filling my ears.
When I woke again, I was in the Pruitt's manor.
The room, identical to the one from my precious life, sent a jolt through my nerves. I ignored the cast on my leg, rolled off the bed, and crawled to the window.
Only when I saw the endless rolling hills outside did I finally break down sobbing.
Rachael Morgan hurried in. She had been the one to care for me so diligently in my precious life.
"Ms. Pollard? What's wrong?"
I grabbed her arm desperately. "I'm not Ella. Please, go tell Jayceon. Please tell him..."
But Rachael calmly helped me back into bed and tucked the blankets around me.
"Ms. Pollard, Mr. Pruitt explained that you're suffering from amnesia. It's normal that you don't remember.
"You're definitely the one he's been searching for. Please, just make yourself at home."
But I hadn't forgotten anything.
I curled into myself silently, muttering over and over.
"I'm not... I'm really not her."
In the days that followed, Jayceon visited often.
He traded his suits for casual wear, a doting smile on his face.
But all I could see in his eyes was the obsession from my previous life.
He wheeled me to the garden.
"Look, Ella. The roses I planted for you. You always loved them."
He placed a single rose in my hand.
"Do you remember? You cried until I promised to give you one."
A violent shudder ran through me, and I flung the rose away.
