Five Dollars To Fall For Him Chapter 01
I was flat broke, and I didn’t even dare say yes when Pierce Wagner, the guy I grew up with, finally asked me to be his girlfriend.
He looked down at me, a sneer on his face. "Short on cash? Fine. Be my errand girl. 800 dollars a month."
After that, he made me run the 800-meter race for Geraldine Murphy, the golden girl of our school, when I was on my period.
Then he had me drop off ultra-thin condoms at a hotel on a rainy night, and even made me give up my spot in the competition.
I always smiled and never said no.
Then he wanted me to take a dare for her. "The bar district's too rough. Dina can't go there.
"You'll do it for her.
"Here. Five dollars. Go in and ask for a male escort."
I reached out to take the money. "Fine. But this is the last time."
Pierce, however, let the coins drop. Five dollars hit the floor and rolled in every direction.
Laughter erupted behind me.
"Who came up with that? That's genius!"
"Five dollars? She's gonna get herself killed for that."
"Whoa, listen to the little lackey. Since when does she get to say 'last time'?"
Pierce looked down at me and smirked. "Relax. She'd never walk away."

Beneath the flickering neon lights, I was already braced to get thrown out.
"Hey, I can pay," I said calmly.
This guy was ridiculously good-looking. He looked at me and chuckled. "You know I don't come cheap, right?"
He held up five fingers and gave them a little wiggle. "This much. Minimum."
I took a breath, pulled five grimy dollar coins from my pocket, and played dumb. "Works for me."
He swore under his breath and raised a hand.
I flinched, covering my head and squeezing my eyes shut.
The next thing I felt was him grabbing my wrist. "How did you get these wounds?"
He pushed up my sleeve and frowned.
It took me a second to register what was happening, and then I yanked my arm back. "I've only got five bucks. Are you in or not? If not, I'll find someone else.
"Don't change the subject."
I finished talking in a rush and started to walk away with my head down. Yet he stuck his leg out and stopped me.
I paused and asked with a guilty conscience, "What ... what are you doing?"
He stubbed out his cigarette. "Deal."
I was petrified by his answer.
He leaned down slightly, bringing his face level with mine, a faint smile playing on his lips. "So, what are we doing tomorrow?"
My mind went blank.
"What ... what is there to do?" I managed, trying to keep my voice steady.
He laughed softly, his eyes bright. "Whatever you want.
"If you've got something naughty in mind, I won't object.
"You've paid, after all."
He drew out those last few words.
My cheeks burned. I stumbled over my reply. "T-Tomorrow. Two P.M. Jefferson High School.
"There's a parent-teacher conference for juniors.
"I need you show up there."
