The Taste Of My Husband's Brother Chapter 01
Kate's pov
"Max," I breathed on his parted lips.
Max's grey eyes pin me down. "There's no going back after this Kate ," he warns breathily, his hand wrapped around his hardness as the tip brushes against my soft folds.
I gasped, arching my back as my eyes burn into his. " Please. Take me."
I didn't have to say anything else, Max, my husband's half brother, the man he hated to the core of him, pushed into my opening until we are one. We both moan out each other's names.
Five days ago I wouldn't dare look in another man's path or cheat on my husband. I was in love with him and thought he was in love with me too. However, I found out the hard way that he never did.
Not when I caught his half brother fiancé on his lap, staining his lips with her red lipstick.

* Hours before *
A smile graces my face as I step out of the car, holding the insulated bag close to my side. Lasagna, steak and some ginger cookies he loved making me bake for him.
Someone would call this devotion, the best doting wife. Now it was performance.
Not since three days ago when I caught him with her.
The glass doors of the office building slide open as I walk in, my chin up and my shoulders straight. I walk with confidence.
The receptionist greets me warmly, her smile so bright. I return her smile because even though I'm burning inside with rage, I was always good at hiding my feelings. I've played the doting wife well enough.
"I'm just dropping off lunch for my husband," I say sweetly, a little too sweetly but she doesn't catch it.
She smiles. "He's in his office, Mrs. Bradshow."
Of course he is.
With one last smile to her, I make my way to the elevator. I step into the elevator and my heart is strangely calm. Almost as if it is numb to any feeling. He did this to me.
The hallways feel strangely colder too as I strut out of the elevator. The employees there respectfully acknowledge me, but some...some have a strange panic look in their eyes as their gazes skit to where his office is.
Hmmm. They know.
I ignore their looks and politely give them smiles that don't quite reach my eyes but it's not like they care. They all play a role too.
When I reach his office, I don't knock immediately; I peek at the small glass on the side of the wall. And that's when I see them.
My husband is seated behind his desk, a grin on his face as he stares at the blonde beauty on his....lap. For a moment, I hold my breath, steady my rage and utter prayers in my head to not murder them both.
There on his lap, giggling like my husband Jonah said the funniest joke ever, is Jonah's half-brother, Max's fiancée, Serena. How laughable....Jonah has not one funny bone in his body. His jokes were never funny.
I watch them closely for a few pending seconds. She is the same woman I caught five days ago with the same red lipstick stained on her lips. The same manicured hands pressed against his chest as she leans in closer.
His hand rests on her waist and he looks at her in the way he should only look at me. How long had this affair been going on? How long had the office walls known before I did?
I am tempted to throw the food at the glass and watch it shatter. But instead, I pull in a calming breath and then knock. Three light taps on the wood have them both jump apart. I nearly laughed as Serena stands up, rushing to stand beside Jonah as if nothing was happening.
I hear Jonah clear his throat before telling me to come in. The second I open the door and step into the room, the air fogs with tension.
"Kate?" His voice tightens slightly, his eyes painting cold. "What are you doing here?"
"I brought you lunch," I say with a fake happy chirp in my voice as I step further into the room like I didn't see a thing. Like I'm visionless, like I'm still the devoted wife that would go to war for him.
His eyes flicker to the food bag then to her, the pretty blonde who shifts uncomfortably under the weight of my eyes. Serena who had been my husband's assistant for years avoids looking at me. Looks like it wasn't only work she had been assisting him with.
"How thoughtful," He says calmly, his lips trying to smile but he looks rather constipated. "We were just discussing-"
"Wedding details?" I offer sweetly, turning to Serena with a warm smile. She pales instantly. " How's Max by the way Serena? I haven't seen him for some time now."
From the corner of my eyes, I could see Jonah's jaw clench as hard as his fists clench on the desk. I smirked inwardly. Max and Jonah never got along because whatever Jonah achieved, Max made ten times bigger and better. He envied Jonah to the core.
"He's been busy," she answers softly and finally forces herself to meet my eyes. "With work."
"Of course," I hum softly, setting the insulated bag down on Jonah's desk before moving around the desk to come to his side. I lean down and softly kiss his cheek. The stench of her perfume is stronger here. " I just came to drop this off and be on my way," I said softly. I hear the click of Serena's heels on the floor as she shifts uncomfortably.
I straighten, looked at Jonah with a cold smile before lifting my hand to wipe the bit of red stain on his cheek where I had kissed. That stain wasn't mine. " I'll see you home."
He nods stiffly and I bid Serena goodbye before turning around with a calm composure and head for the door. The second the door closes behind me, I pull out my phone and then click send.
It was a short video of Serena and Jonah fucking in our bed, filmed through the crack in the door he forgot to close fully. The receiver of the video is none other than Max Bradshow, Jonah's half-brother.
I was done playing nice.
