She Hated Me Even As A Robot Chapter 01
I was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor.
Before my death, I brought home a bionic robot freshly developed in the lab.
It looked exactly like me, except for... its personality.
It wouldn't be spoiled and willful like I was, nor would it fight for attention with my sister, Tiffany Jenkins.
It would only do everything possible to please Mom, acting as the obedient, sensible daughter.
Yet Mom wasn't satisfied.
She grew to hate me more and more, telling me countless times to get out, wishing I would just die somewhere else.
But “I” would only offer an ingratiating smile, begging for her forgiveness with near-pathetic humility.
Until one day, my delicate sister "accidentally" slashed “my” throat with a paring knife.
Only then did Mom discover in horror that not only did I not shed a drop of blood, but beneath the shocking wound lay nothing but a mass of intertwined wires.

The sharp knife sliced open "my" throat.
"I" remained expressionless, staring at Tiffany, who clutched the paring knife.
"Sarah, I'm so sorry! You just appeared behind me out of nowhere, so I..."
Her eyes were clearly filled with triumph, yet she insisted on feigning panic.
How boring.
It was like this every time. She would yank my hair and slap my face, only to insist that I had inflicted the redness and swelling on myself to frame her.
Or she would hide needles in the seat cushions, then run to Mom, claiming I was trying to hurt her on purpose.
In the past, I would have fought back, tried to explain myself.
But now...
Seeing "my" sluggish reaction, Tiffany rolled her eyes before turning her head to put on a wronged expression and cry to Mom.
"Mom, Sarah seems angry. She's just staring at me without saying a word. It's so scary!"
Hearing the cry, Mom walked over impatiently, shoved "me" aside from behind, and reached out to embrace Tiffany.
"Sarah, have you lost your mind again?"
"I" blinked, not making a sound.
Mom sneered.
"Now you know how to play innocent? You make me sick!"
Tiffany buried her face in Mom's embrace, sobbing softly.
"Mom, don't blame Sarah.
I accidentally scratched her neck just now, that's why she's mad.
But I really didn't mean to!
I was cutting fruit and she suddenly appeared behind me.
I only hurt her because I was startled.
What should I do? Does it hurt her a lot?
She's so angry she won't even talk to me."
Mom looked furious and held her tightly.
"She's got thick skin and rough flesh, and you're not that strong. What does it matter? She's such a drama queen, you know that. Just ignore her."
Mom looked up to glare at "me," her gaze landing on "my" neck.
There was a barely visible wound there.
It was deep; the flesh had split open.
Unfortunately, when Mom shoved "me" just now, the necklace on my neck slipped down a fraction, perfectly concealing the cut.
"See? There's not even any blood.
I told you she was faking it.
If you're that good at acting, why don't you go into movies?
Even an Oscar winner couldn't compete with you!"
It was true. "My" skin would not bleed, no matter how severe the injury.
But if she had been just a little more careful, if she had seriously examined "my" injury, she would have discovered that beneath the shocking wound lay a mass of twisted, coiling wires.
Then perhaps she would finally understand that the "me" who had been by her side for five whole years was merely a bionic robot brought out from a lab.
And the real me had died five years ago, on the very day she was celebrating Tiffany's birthday.
After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, I poured my remaining life into creating the bionic robot.
I gave it my exact appearance and uploaded my memories into its chip.
But time was running out, and I couldn't replicate my personality.
Before I died, afraid that Mom would be heartbroken, I programmed it to be exactly what she liked—obedient and sensible.
Yet my mother... she didn't seem satisfied at all.
