The Reborn Luna: Once His Cure Now His Curse Chapter 01

The day my husband, Alpha Wallace Swanson, killed me, I had just turned twenty.
In my previous life, he was the most promising grandson of the Swanson family—a widely recognized Alpha despite his young age. Yet, he carried a strange hereditary toxin in his blood.
To detox, he married me.
But on our wedding night, Cynthia Sandoval, his beloved Omega who claimed she could save him, jumped to her death.
I had just finished cleansing Wallace’s toxin when the news came through. Without hesitation, he grabbed a pure silver injector and plunged it straight into my carotid artery.
“Die with Cynthia,” he hissed.
His gaze was icy, all traces of his usual tenderness gone.
The Alpha-specific winter duvet he had laid over me during our intimate moment last night became my shroud.
After I died, he dumped my body in the southern border’s primal rainforest. Rogues tore me apart, leaving no trace behind.
When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day Wallace’s grandfather, the current Alpha, came to my home to propose marriage on Wallace’s behalf.
Looking at Wallace sitting upright on the sofa, his face etched with resistance, I suddenly smiled, “Alpha Neville, I can’t guarantee I can detoxify Wallace.
“Besides, I don’t want to marry him.”
At that, an elegant lady with a worried look on her face jerked her head up, hope lighting her eyes.
“Dr. Manning, if you won’t marry Wallace… would you consider my son instead?” she asked eagerly.

The atmosphere in the Alpha’s lounge grew thick with tension.
Neville Swanson, Wallace’s grandfather, looked troubled. The warriors behind him stood rigid and silent.
Everyone knew that the Swanson men were afflicted by a bizarre hereditary condition.
It went back to a pack border battle years ago—Neville had led the charge to destroy a witch’s stronghold involved in dark magic experiments. With her dying breath, a witch cast a bloodline curse on him.
Since then, every Swanson man would die of multiple organ failure by age twenty unless he mated with a she-wolf possessing purifying abilities.
For an Alpha family known for bravery and combat prowess, it was a devastating blow.
Neville had personally come to our home because my family carried that purifying bloodline.
He never expected me to turn him down. So now, he was at a loss for what to do.
Just then, Wallace sprang to his feet and pointed at me, his voice cold and sharp. “Elizabeth, how dare you refuse my grandfather! Do you really think you’re my only option?
“Just so you know—I never wanted to marry you!”
He then turned to Neville. “Grandfather, she’s just a fraud. That ‘special constitution’ is made up—just a trick to cling to our family!”
His jaw was tight, eyes burning with suppressed fury.
“Silence, Wallace! Watch your tone,” Neville barked.
Wallace’s chest heaved violently. He opened his mouth as if to say more, but in the end, he only shot me a sharp glare.
Neville signaled his Beta to bring over a sealed metal box.
“Wally isn’t himself—the curse is destabilizing his emotions. Dr. Manning, my apologies.
“According to the sealed archives in the Pack Library, your family’s purifying ability can lift our family’s curse. And you are the only one who is around Wally’s age. This is the deed to a property in the pack’s most prosperous district—a token of our sincerity. After the marriage, we will secure your admission to the highest-level medical research institute and proclaim you the pack’s Luna.”
It was true—I did possess a unique constitution that could purify the curse.
But I didn’t want to save Wallace.
In my previous life, Cynthia, the “genius doctor” the Swansons had hired, killed herself on our wedding night. After that, Wallace became convinced I was an impostor—that I had stolen her research and lied about my abilities just to marry into their family.
He loved Cynthia, so he blamed me for her death.
He believed it was her “targeted antidote” that saved him.
But he never understood—no conventional medicine could ever break a witch’s curse. I had purified the darkness in his soul through a unique bio-field resonance on our wedding night.
He never gave me a chance to explain. He just murdered me with that silver agent and dumped my body in the rainforest like trash.
