I Dumped My Amnesiac Ex Chapter 01
My husband brought his mistress and their newborn baby to my maternity center. He forgot me, humiliated me, and even forced me to film their sex. Good—divorce’s in his signature. His past? My weapon.
Chapter 1
When Mars Lynch and his mistress showed up at the maternity care center I owned, holding their third baby, she couldn’t help but laugh.
“I’ve already had three kids, and you still can’t even get Mars to touch you?”
“Maybe you could watch us next time we get intimate and pick up a few pointers? Seriously, as one woman to another, I almost feel sorry for you.”
I ignored the smugness in her voice and calmly arranged their room.
Seeing how compliant I was, Mars raised a surprised eyebrow.
After all, when they came to book a room for the first two, I had a complete meltdown on the spot.
I hysterically demanded to know why Mars wouldn’t touch me.
That night, I even put on the most scandalous lingerie I owned, desperate for a shred of his affection.
But he just had his bodyguards throw my naked body out the front door, his voice dripping with disgust.
“If you’re that horny, go find someone else to bother! You’re making me sick!”
“You wanna act like a baik? Go do it for someone else!”
It was in that moment I was finally sure: he really didn’t remember me.
That night, I printed out the divorce papers and called my dad.
“Dad,” I said, “I want to come home.”
—–
After I finished their check-in, I asked my best friend to help me find someone to take over the maternity center.
Amelia was ecstatic.
“You’re finally leaving that scumbag! I told you, he’s completely forgotten what happened eight years ago!”
“The crown prince of the Imperial Capital Region is still unmarried because of you!”
Mars looked over after signing the contract, and I quickly ended the call.
He was completely focused on Sophia and their daughter, totally oblivious that at the bottom of the maternity center contract, he had just signed our divorce agreement.
He scoffed.
“I honestly don’t see what’s so great about this place. Sophie just had to have it.”
“I’ve spoiled Sophie, so she’s got a bit of a temper. Make sure your staff puts up with it.”
Sophia shot him a playful glare. Mars, finding it adorable, couldn’t resist leaning in for a kiss.
An involuntary pang of pain shot through my chest. I snatched the contract from him, ready to finish this last piece of business.
But as I took it, my hand accidentally brushed against his.
Bad memories flooded back, and I panicked, about to explain.
But Mars was faster. He kicked me hard, sending me sprawling to the floor.
He kicked me right in the stomach—and I was on my period. The pain was so intense I couldn’t even stand up.
His expression was ice-cold as he quickly pulled out some hand sanitizer to disinfect the spot I had touched.
“Cut it out with your pathetic little tricks! This just makes me hate you more!”
I gave a bitter smile. The last few times, I had deliberately tried to touch him, hoping it would make him remember our past.
But just as he seemed on the verge of remembering, Sophia saw it.
Mars panicked. To appease her, he had his men hang me upside down for three days and three nights. I almost died.
After that, even an accidental touch would lead to Mars sending his bodyguards to hurt me, again and again.
I took a deep breath, forced myself to my feet, and led them to their room.
Seeing my pale face, Mars faltered for a second. He looked like he was about to say something, but in the end, he didn’t.
Sophia’s face lit up when she saw the luxurious suite.
Mars frowned, a little unsettled.
“Why aren’t you making a scene this time?”
The last two times, I’d deliberately given them a small room, trying to drive them away.
I ignored him, my voice strictly professional.
“Mr. and Mrs. Lynch, please get settled. A nanny will be here shortly for the baby.”
Hearing the words “Mrs. Lynch,” Mars’s frown deepened.
I finished my instructions and turned to leave, but Sophia stopped me.
“Wait—”
“Amelia,” she purred, “could you grab us a box of condoms? Mars has been holding out for so long~”
I fought to keep my voice from shaking.
“Of course.”
But when I returned, obediently holding out the box, an inexplicable rage flared in Mars’s eyes.
