I'm curious to know how confident Indonesian people are when speaking in English.

I'm from the UK so I don't have any fears when speaking in English but when I have to speak Indonesian now and again I don't feel confident at all. I can speak some basic Indonesian but I often get really nervous and my mind tends to go blank in the heat of the moment and I can't remember very much of what I've learnt.

So I'm wondering if you guys feel the same way as I do, when you have to speak in English how confident do you feel? For example, if you were randomly approached by a foreigner like me on the street looking for help, would you feel confident communicating with me in English on the spot?
