Last Man Standing is a show about a married man with three daughters. Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is a man's man in a woman's world when he realizes that things have changed in terms of style, preference, and other things. He juggles life between being a husband and parent while working as a marketing director for an outdoor sporting goods store. Mike is the man at work, but in a home full of women, his wife Vanessa (Nancy Travis)and three daughters Mandy (Molly Ephraim), Kristin (Alexandra Krosney-S1; Amanda Fuller-S2) and Eve (Kaitlyn Dever) are there to make sure that he is the odd man out. When Vanessa returns to work after being at home for most of her life and is promoted, she is packed on with work. Mike has to balance even more things that he is not used to doing and has to do more hands-on parenting then he has done in all his marriage.

MAIN CAST

Tim Allen as Mike Baxter, a father of three daughters and the director of marketing for "Outdoor Man," a sporting goods store. He is a so-called "manly-man," and he believes in old-fashioned values. Mike is also an Amateur Radio operator with the fictitious call sign of KA0XTT. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

Nancy Travis as Vanessa Baxter, Mike's wife who is a geologist. She is very tolerant of Mike's macho behavior. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Alexandra Krosney(season 1), Amanda Fuller (season 2) as Kristin Beth Baxter, the eldest daughter. She was pregnant with her son, Boyd, during her senior year of high school and the two still live in the Baxter home. She works at a diner and is sometimes seen wearing her waitress uniform. Krosney was replaced by Fuller in the second season due to creative reasons.

Molly Ephraim as Amanda Elaine "Mandy" Baxter, the second oldest daughter. Mandy is very much into fashion and is not as scholarly as her sisters, but excels in social situations. She dreams of appearing in reality television.

Kaitlyn Dever as Eve Baxter, the youngest daughter. She is a tomboy and generally has the same interests as Mike, but her newfound interest in boys begins to strain their relationship.

Christoph Sanders as Kyle Anderson, a younger employee at "Outdoor Man". He is very much into feminine things, like romantic comedies and baking. He has Basque heritage. He also dated Kristin in season 1.

Hector Elizondo as Edward "Ed" Alzate, Mike's boss. Mike usually talks to Ed about the happenings in his home, seeking advice. Ed is known to be unorthodox and is a source of both pride and consternation for Mike, as the advice he gives sometimes helps yet also often hinders Mike. Like Kyle, Ed is of Basque heritage.

Flynn Morrison (season two–present, regular role) and Evan and Luke Kruntchev (season one, recurring roles) as Boyd Baxter, Kristin's son and Mike's and Vanessa's grandson. Mike enjoys spending quality time with Boyd, as the son he never had.
