More Beryl M762 rifles delivered to Nigeria

Polish small arms manufacturer Fabryka Broni has delivered a second batch of 500 Beryl M762 assault rifles to Nigeria under a USD500,000 contract signed early this year, company sources have told IHS Jane's .

The first batch of 1,000 Beryl M762s, spare parts, and training was delivered to Nigeria under a USD1 million contract signed in mid-2014.

This was the first ever export order for any Beryl rifle, including the M762, a 7.62x39 mm version of the Polish Army's 5.56x45 mm Beryl M556 (wz. 96C) service rifle.

It can use standard AK-47 magazines; has a single shot, thee-round burst and full automatic fire selector; a handguard with three Picatinny rails; another top-mounted Picatinny rail; a telescopic buttstock; and ergonomic grips.

The second batch included 10 Mini Beryl M556 carbines for test and evaluation purposes. IHS Jane's understands the Nigerian Army is also interested in the short-barrelled version of the Beryl M762.

kalo nggak salah beryl versi 556 nggak begitu laku di pasaran internasional kalah dengan varian ak-47 produk eropa timur lainnya. di negeri pembuatnya yaitu polandia, beryl cuma dipake sama pasukan regulernya, passusnya nggak begitu suka malah lebih seneng pake senjata impor bahkan konon rencananya beryl mau diganti dengan msbs sama ad polandia.
