You remember them because they were all kinds of awesome – they laced themselves up without Marty having to do anything! And, if you’re anything like me, you immediately wanted a pair as soon as you watched that scene. Unfortunately, for you, me, and everyone else, they weren’t available on the market yet.

That’s all changing, though. Beginning in 2015, Nike states that shoes with power laces will be available for all of us to buy. This could be one of the greatest inventions of our time.



It’s About Time!

If you remember everything that happened in the classic movie, Marty travelled forward in the future to the year 2015 – and that’s when he found his Nike shoes with the power laces. And what year is Nike finally unveiling the shoes? That’s right – 2015. Whether this is just a coincidence on Nike’s part or they meant to do it all along, it’s still noteworthy.

Also, I think it’s safe to say that letting your shoes lace themselves up is a feat that will never get old, no matter how many times we experience it.
