Pemilik Inter Milan Erick Thohir terpilih sebagai presiden klub sepak bola Italia itu, mengakhiri masa kepemimpinan Massimo Moratti selama 18 tahun.

Erick membeli sebagian besar saham Inter bulan lalu dan dipastikan sebagai presiden baru dalam rapat luar biasa klub itu Jumat (15/11).
Moratti mengambil alih kepresidenan saat ia membeli klub itu pada 1995.Selama masa kepemimpinannya, Inter meraih lima gelar juara liga Italia dan meraih Liga Champions dan Piala Italia pada 2010.
Erick bersama Rosan Roeslani dan Handy Soetedjo memiliki 70% saham juara 18 kali Liga Italia itu.
Pertandingan terakhir Inter Milan di bawah Moratti sebagai presiden adalah saat melawan Livorno dengan kemenangan Inter 2-0.
Dalam wawancara dengan para wartawan Kamis malam (14/11), Moratti mengatakan ia sangat terkesan dengan Erick.

"Ia antusias dan sangat senang untuk melakukan ini semua. Ia cepat mengerti dan sangat menyenangkan dalam berhadapan dengan setiap orang," kata Moratti seperti dikutip situs Inter.
Selain Inter Milan, Erick juga memiliki sebagian saham klub tim bola basket Amerika Serikat, Philadelphia 76ers, dan DC United. #BBC Indonesia

Thohir's company International Sports Capital officially became the new majority shareholder on Friday with a 70 per cent stake in the Italian giants "by virtue of a dedicated capital increase".
And in Friday's shareholders' meeting, an eight-man board of directors was elected before Thohir was named president.

"I really want to thank my friend and new partner Massimo Moratti for the trust and support, and thank also my partners Rosan and Handy, who I've known for more than 20 years; I want also to thank our families. Most of all, thanks to our supporters all around the world and wherever I met them, on Twitter or personally," said Thohir.
