Samoyed
The Samoyed has a compact, muscular body. The wedge-shaped head is broad and slightly crowned. The muzzle is in proportion to the size of the dog, tapering to the nose. The stop is well defined but not abrupt. The nose color can be black, brown or liver. The lips are black. The teeth meet in a scissors bite. The dark, almond-shaped eyes are deep-set, somewhat wide apart, with a slanting lower lid and dark rims. The erect, triangular ears are slightly rounded at the tips. The tail is moderately long, well-covered with hair, carried rolled on the back. The legs are solid and muscular and the feet are flat and covered with hair. The thick, double coat is profuse. The undercoat is soft, short and thick with longer hairs growing out to the outer coat. The outer coat is harsh and stands straight out, not wavy. Males’ coats are more profuse than females’. There is a ruff around the neck and shoulders, framing the head. Coat colors include pure white, biscuit, yellow and cream. Sometimes white with silver tips. Pure white is preferred in the show ring.

German Shepherd
German Shepherds are also highly intelligent dogs. They take to training very easily, and make very loyal pets. They stay focused for very long periods when given commands. They can be a little prone to dominance issues, especially with other dogs. They are very suspicious of strangers, and tend to be very protective of their homes. Because of this, they make good guard dogs.

Siberian Husky
Huskies are very loyal and companionable. They are inclined to misbehaving in small ways, and can be very stubborn about getting what they want. They can be aggressive around dogs they don’t know, but tend to get on well with other pets in the same home. They can also be rather noisy, howling and barking at all hours. They have traditionally been used to pull sleds, and consequently have almost boundless endurance.

Malamute
Malamutes are very social creatures, and are heavily oriented towards their pack, or human family. They are well-behaved as long as they get daily exercise. If they don’t get daily exercise then they tend to become nervous and hyperactive, and will start tearing up upholstery and scratching the walls and floor. Like huskies they have been bred for pulling sleds.

Golden Retriever
The Golden Retriever is possibly the friendliest dog breed on the planet. They tend to be very boisterous and really enjoy playing. If they aren’t exercised daily, they tend to start misbehaving. It can be a little distracting.

Belgian Malinois
Differing from the other Belgian sheepdogs, the Belgian Malinois has a streamlined coat, usually seen in brown. They are a highly-intelligent breed often used as police dogs in Europe. Bred in Belgium originally, they are a working breed, eager to please their owners as well as friendly to strangers. In Belgium, the breed is called the Mechelse Herder for the region in which they originated, which is Meclinian in French or Mechelse or Mechelaar in Dutch

Beagle
Beagles are small to medium sized scenthounds that look much like their larger cousin, the Foxhound. They are not as tall as Foxhounds and have long, silky ears. Beagles are enthusiastic hunting companions that will eagerly track rabbits, hares, and other smaller game using their keen sense of smell. Beagles are used around the world for detection purposes for the importing of agricultural products. They make lovely family pets as they are generally easygoing, genetically healthy, and of a size suitable for homes small or large. These qualities also make Beagles the most commonly used dogs in animal testing. Beagles love to play, and they love to go outside. They make excellent companions to children, and are incredibly friendly. They are prone to howling, both when upset and happy, and have a tendency to run off to follow interesting scents and trails. It is not always so easy to keep them from doing this

Cardigan Welsh Corgi
These short-legged Cardigan Welsh Corgi dogs love to play, and are little bundles of energy. They are well behaved in every area except keeping quiet. They sometimes pick fights with other dogs, even bigger dogs.

Dachsund/Teckel
The Dachshund is bold, curious and always up for adventure. He likes to hunt and dig, tracking by scent and going to ground after game. He is independent but will join in his family's activities whenever given a chance. He is good with children in his own family. Some bark. The longhaired variety may be quieter and less terrier-like; the wires may be more outgoing. Some miniatures are more prone to be timid.
