1. Estimate HK$ 20,000 - 25,000.

China, 1911, registered cover from Kukowcheong to Luxembourg, with CIP 2¢, 4¢ x2 and 5¢ x2 tied with Kukowcheong lunar cds (Xin-hai 7th month 9th day) on back, with Ahmei lunar cds (7th month 10th day), Hokow bilingual cds (Sep 5), Shanghai bilingual cds (Sep 14) and Luxembourg cds (Dec 1). Large R registered marking on front. The routing was endorsed on cover front, also via Hong Kong and then via Siberia, but without any HK markings. A rare routing registered cover to a rare destination, Very Fine.

2. Estimate HK$ 25,000 - 30,000.

China, 1908 (Feb. 7), postal card from Peking (datelined Tungchou) to US, front card of third printing double card with reply card detached, measuring 118mm between frames, with light strike of Peking lunar cds (second month 7th day), pencil marked T indicating postage due as correct postage is 4¢. Also with Shanghai bilingual cds (Mar 10) and Toledo machine marking (Apr 4) all on front. A very rare postage due usage of the third printing postal double card, Fine. Han 5.
3. Estimate HK$ 50,000 - 60,000.

China, 1899, Chinan to Peking red band cover, with CIP 1¢ x2 tied with Chinan oval dater (Nov 11). On back there are 5 different tombstones, Paoting Dollar dater (Nov 21) and Peking bilingual cds (Nov 22). An absolute showpiece, nicely written up on exhibit page by Dr. Edwin Chu in his gold medal exhibit.

4. Estimate HK$ 75,000 - 100,000.

China, 1902 (Jun 11), red band cover from Shanghai to Shaohing, with CIP 1¢ and 2¢ tied with Shanghai bilingual cds (Jun 11) on back with Hangchow bilingual cds (Jun 13), Shaohing tombstone and Shaohing boxed instructional marking "Shaohing PO, from 3rd month, 1st day, a rate of 1 cent should be paid for every ½ oz and beyond". Rare marking and exceptional high quality strike. Nicely written up on exhibit page by Dr. Edwin Chu in his gold medal exhibit.

5. Estimate HK$ 80,000 - 100,000.

China, 1900 (Jun 29), red band cover from Shaohing to Kaifeng, with CIP 2¢ tied with Shaohing tombstone on back, also with Tenghsien PO tombstone with hand written date of 6th month 29th day, Chinkiang bilingual cds (Jul 16), Shanghai bilingual cds (Jul 14), Sutsien tombstone, Taierchwang tombstone, Tsingkiangpu Dollar dater with hand written date. As the Boxer Rebellion was in full swing, many of the PO were not operational. This cover was returned and not delivered. Nicely written up on exhibit page by Dr. Edwin Chu in his gold medal exhibit.
