For the first time ever, the RSAF's Surface-to-Air PYthon-5 and DERby (SPYDER) system took part in Exercise Cope Tiger 2013, a trilateral air exercise with the Thai and US forces at Korat Air Base in Thailand. This quick-reaction, surface-to-air missile system is capable of engaging a wide range of aerial threats, including fighter aircraft, helicopters and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles!
