ME are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 2008 composed of Luke Ferris (lead vocals, piano and guitarist), Damian Tapley (guitar, backing vocals), Michael Godde (bass, backing vocals) and Spike Rogers (drums, programming). In 2010 they signed with UK independent record label Lizard King Records[1][2] and on 5th March 2011 they released debut mini-album Another Story High recorded by Simon ‘Barny’ Barnicott.[3] The band cite numerous and wide ranging influences ranging from Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Mars Volta, Radiohead, The Beatles, Rachmaninoff, Philip Glass and American composer Danny Elfman. The band are also influenced by theatrical performance and their live shows often feature additional on stage musicians such as drum troupes, violinists, vocal choirs, orchestras, dancers and other guest performers. The band’s name was originally written as [Me] but a decision was made to remove the square brackets and is now most commonly written as ME. The band name itself has led to press articles referring to the band as ‘The Ungoogleables'.[4] The band divide their time between Europe and Australia and in July 2012 were announced as part of the Big Day Out 2013 line up.

In Australia the band supported Dead Letter Circus on an Australian tour in March and April 2011.[5][6] They played with Kimbra for her first full band show at Revolver and have also played with Husky and Redcoats.
In the UK and Ireland ME have toured with Kasabian,[7] Evanescence,[8][9] Death From Above 1979,[10] Panic! at the Disco,[11] Twin Atlantic, The Xcerts, King Charles, Arcane Roots and Motion City Soundtrack throughout 2011-2012[12] and have played numerous festivals including Secret Garden Party, The Great Escape, Camden Crawl and Y Not. In November 2012 ME headline their first tour of the UK.
In mainland Europe ME have supported Yellowcard[13] and Evanescence in Paris and played the Reeperbahn Festival 2011 in Hamburg, Germany.[14] In December 2012 ME are co-headlining a tour of Germany and Switzerland with New Zealand band I Am Giant.
