A woman was shot dead in the early hours, when she was accompanied by a man in the Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas (one block away from the Plaza Garibaldi).

The crime occurred on the sidewalk, west side of the Central Axis, the side of the Guerrero, Cuauhtemoc. Just a few minutes after the victim had left the place where they were watching their concuño.

According to the police report of the Alameda sector of the Ministry of Public Security, Federal District (SSP-DF), the incident took place at 04:30am on the Central Axis versus number 56, near the corner of Calle Violeta, as a subject approached as a hooded man next to the woman. It began after the guy took out a gun, shooting at her and left the place to an unknown direction.

Zárate Sandra Rosales, 44-years-old, died instantly after receiving at least two bullets. One in the head and one in the right leg. Her lifeless body was lying on the sidewalk Central Axis, while the man, who accompanied, Jaime Rojas, 42-years-old, was injured after a bullet hit his chin and another one hit his left collarbone. He was taken to the ambulance 41 Red Cross Hospital ISSSTE. His health status was told as 'okay'.

Next to the crime scene, were found five caps 9mm apparently, meanwhile the public prosecutor of the Territorial Coordination CUH-2 arrived. They began a preliminary investigation about the murder by shooting firearm.

The woman was identified by her nephew, who mentioned that she was selling bottles in the Plaza Garibaldi. She was killed right in front of the place where she stored her wares.
