AMD kembali menghadirkan chipset kelas mainstreem, untuk melengkapinya chipset ini AMD pun mengeluarkan Processr versi baru dari AMD athlon yaitu AMD athon II serta graphic baru dengan teknologi 40nm HD 4770.
chipset kelas mainstreem ini adalah AMD 785G yang telah terintegrasi chipset video radeon HD 4200 IGP. AMD 785G dan HD 4200 adalah paduan chipset pertama yang mendukung directx 10.1
dan shader 4.1 yang diharapkan mendukung penuh dengan windows 7.

DFI LP BI 785G-M35 merupakan salah satu mainboard yang menggunakan chiset ini dengan form factor micro-ATX. Chipset yang digunakan M/B ini AMD 785G + SB 710 dan fitur tambahan berupa side-port sebesar 128m DDR3.
DFI LP BI 785G-M35 menggunakan soket AM3 yang telah mendukung prosesor terbaru dari AMD yaitu Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition dan Athlon II X2 250.
Chipset AMD 785G juga mendukung full 16GB memory dengan kecepatan DDR3 800/1066/1333 Mhz.
